He's the only one behind his workbench, no helpers or anyone who would assist him at any stage of development of his masterpieces. No two skull rings exactly alike. Each and every ring he creates has it's own soul and personality. Made from the sweat, blood and tears blended together in one piece of metal and meant to last way beyond our life time and stand above our mortal material understanding of things. Why skull? The Skull is a reminder that all things will pass, that there is wisdom in living in the face of such mortality, and, therefore, we should live fully and mindfully.
